NANAME-UE KAMIAMAKUSA is a tourism brand concept. It aims to ensure the penetration of the NANAME-UE(*) image of going greatly beyond and exceeding expectations. This is done by Kamiamakusa - located diagonally above (naname-ue in Japanese) the Amakusa region in Kumamoto Prefecture - refining the abundant resources in our city. The tourism contents which follow this concept greatly exceed (NANAME-UE) the expectations of visitors and never fail to fascinate them.

Kamiamakusa is working to improve our brand image as a tourist destination under the tourism brand concept of NANAME-UE KAMIAMAKUSA. This is based on the Kamiamakusa Tourism Branding Plan we formulated in July 2018. The topography of Kamiamakusa is reflected in the center of the eyes that look diagonally upward (NANAME-UE) as if planning to do something. The motif of the arches serving as the edge of the eyes is a bridge connecting the islands of Amakusa. This logo is not just a tourism brand concept; it is eyes looking ahead to the future of Kamiamakusa. It represents the attitude itself of Kamiamakusa that continues to take on new challenges to develop an even better community.
